My Darling Daughter

So a couple of weeks ago my friend Lacee took these fabulous pictures of Layla, her daughter, and her niece. Love them!

The girls wore Layla out!…hence her tongue hanging out in every picture.  I am so proud that Layla is an ambassador of her breed.  I will always be an advocate for pitties and fight against BSL .  I couldn’t ask for a better dog and best friend.  I have said it before in this blog… she took care of me.  My dad calls her “my gift from God.”  I got her at the perfect time of my life.  We have been across the country and back together.   We are a pack.

Yes, someday I hope to have children.  And when I do, hopefully Layla will be there.  But if not, I will tell them a wonderful story about a girl and her dog.

Hello all,

So sorry my posts have been sparse.  I have been super busy this week selling Stella & Dot!  Who knew my new “hobby” would be making money and keeping me running around??  Also, yesterday I got to judge cheerleading tryouts at my former middle school.  It was so fun!  The girls were so so cute.  And, Layla and I have been trying to get back into shape…grrr.  I hate the beginning (and so does Layla).  If we’re not running, she is sleeping.  One more thing, my favorite fabric store is having a sale, so my mom and I are going to pick out lots of goodies for our current projects.

I love the picture of the floppy eared bunny.  If Layla was a bunny, she would be this one. Haha!

Got me and Elph!

 

Last night Mom and I made a late trip to Wal-Mart.  To our suprise, they had their Blue Elph’s on sale for $117!!  We couldn’t pass em up, so we each got one!  My camera is on its last leg, so this bargain couldn’t have come at a better time.  Love it!

Ugh, I hate to do this…

I really hate to use this blog to voice my opinions on politics, but it’s my blog and I can say whatever I want to. 

Yes, I am talking about the health care bill that is going to be voted on tomorrow.  I have very strong opinions regarding this bill and the liberals behind it.  I believe this bill will ruin our economy.  Not only will it make premiums higher, it will also cost people their jobs and prolong this recession.  I also am appalled by the behavior of the liberals in Congress.  I have never in my life seen such spinelessness.  There is no integrity or gumption.  I thought that once you believed in something, you stuck to your guns.  This is not the case with our elected officials.  They are the most wishy-washy bunch of snakes.  I include the president in this too.  He is just as bad, if not worse than the rest of them.  I am a proud libertarian that has never voted for a democrat.  Obviously they have no idea how to run the country.  Ideology is not practical.  All it does is cost taxpayer’s more money and prolong our problems.  Where is the focus on jobs?  Oh that’s right, the healthcare bill will create jobs!  What a load of crap!  And where does it say in the Constitution that I have to buy health insurance?  We already have enough entitlements in this country.  If people are getting everything for free, then why go out and earn a living?  Our country is broke, and it’s about to get a lot worse.

Mary Poppins on Broadway

 

So I really wanted to see Wicked on Broadway but the tickets were way expensive ($350.00 a piece!).  Instead, we went to see Mary Poppins.  The show was at the Amsterdam Theater which was so beautiful!  I had such a great time! 
The sets were amazing and the actors were superb.  All in all, I was thoroughly entertained.  I recommend it to anyone, especially if you’re bringing the kids along.

Slutty Red Lipstick

So, I am back from NYC and exhausted! I will post photos and details later. I forgot to pack my red lipstick, so I went searching for a perfect shade. Where else to go than Sephora! I picked up Hourglass lipstick in the color Icon. The sales lady says it’s awesome and looks different on everyone. I totally agree. This shade is gorgeous, plus it stayed on through an entire Broadway musical! The makeup line is fairly new and is created by Carisa Janes.  It is available online and in stores.  This lipstick sold me and leaves me wanting to try more of her products.

I also picked up…
